4 Steps To Start A Home Based Online Business

Thursday, August 20th, 2009
by Kristin Thormar

Barely anything compares to the excitement you feel when you first begin to earn money on the web. Ever since I got my first computer I had dreamed of having a web site that would make me money.

My motivation has always been realistic. I want the freedom to live life on my own terms. I want to be able to conduct what I want when I feel like it. I want to feel the security of having a steady income. And, last but not least I want to be able to buy what I want and go where I want on my own terms. Not too much to ask, dont you agree?

Now I know that I made things too complicated when I decided to learn how to make money online. I spent an great amount of time, energy and money on learning things I did not have to know and doing things that turned out to be an utter waste of time.

The most disappointing thing of all was that the experts who are harvesting the awesome payoffs of their success are so bad at educating others how they conduct it. However, they are very good at charging a good deal of cash for their info and then making it tough to comprehend what they mean! I think it is very immoral. Hence I chose early on that I would assist other people by providing them for free with valuable information about how to make money on the world wide web.

Following is what my experience has taught me, and I believe them to be the true secrets of making money on the web.

First, start with finding a niche market. I know this is atypical from how folks do things in the real world, but on the world wide web this is the best way to start. The easiest way is to find a group of people just like yourself, people with whom you share a problem.

Second, find a product that resolves their problems. There are millions of them out there, both physical and digital products.

Third, build a very simple, 1 page website. Your website only needs to offer a product which solves their specific problems.

Fourth, drive traffic to that site.

Imagine my thrill when, by simply applying this formula, I started getting e-mails saying: Congratulations, you just made a sale!

My advice is simple, do not wait, use the simple formula I’ve outlined above to start creating your own website.

Still, I know by first hand experience, that it can appear very complex to make a plain web site and publish it on the internet, but it really is not if you are taught step by step how to do it.

Want To Learn Internet Marketing? - Then You Will Love This

Sunday, August 9th, 2009
by Kristin Thormar

As Work at Home web site owners we see many searches on a daily basis for legitimate Home Based Businesses, Online Business, Home Business, Internet Business, and such.

These days, millions of people are turning to the internet for making extra cash, especially now in the international recession. It is so fantastic to be able to work from home. Many people have an office at home, which is an extension of their day job, others are looking to substitute their yearly wages and have a cut of the huge pie for themselves, and many people are desperately looking for ways to earn money to support their families, for the reason that they have lost their jobs.

Almost anyone with some self-discipline, simple computer knowledge and work ethic can create a nice income by working from home. When a person has made the decision to do so, then the big question becomes how? You can waste away a lot of time and money trying to figure it out yourself or with a little investigation you can follow in someone else’s footsteps that has been and is successful.

Like thousands or millions of other people worldwide, I have looked for someone to help me start my own internet business. Oh have I fallen for scams, and wasted money on worthless e-books and courses? You bet I have!

But what I know today about starting and running a home based internet business is something I learned years ago by trial and error. I get emails daily from internet marketing experts who claim that if I buy their new products, I will become wealthy in no time at all! Yeah right…..

Even though I know a great deal about internet marketing, and get emails from the gurus, there was one person I received emails from, that my intuition told me was honest.

This person is Chris Farrell, a very charming British guy, who only started working online in February 2008. Since then, he has been blessed with unusual success online.

When he announced that he was going to start a membership site for online marketing newbies, I didn’t waste any time, and joined the day it went live. Have I been disappointed like so many times before? The answer to that is definitely NO. I am very impressed about the value of the Chris Farrell Membershipsite.

This is the web’s first membership site precisely focused at helping internet marketing beginners succeed online. If you know little or nothing about starting an online internet business or making a website, you do not need to look any further.

Now he is giving every internet marketing beginner the Successful Internet Business Explained Step By Step - Your Free $197 Worth Video Course absolutely free, no strings attached.

If you want to start your own internet business, please go there now, watch the videos and see if this isn’t precisely what you have always been searching for, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

P.S. If you do not check out these videos now, you probably never will, since as soon you exit this website, you will forget where you found this information.

The Importance of Pronunciation in Spanish

Friday, July 31st, 2009
by Martha Benitez

You have decided that you are going to learn Spanish and that is a very commendable task but you still need to learn to speak it well. It is such a joy when you speak to someone who has learned a foreign language and can speak it well. The first thing you think is that person has learned well, and worked hard at practicing speaking the language. You do not necessarily think that this person is smarter because they can speak the language so much better than other people. It is not a matter of intelligence but rather the fact that they worked hard at this task and became a good speaker.

Try not to make the same mistakes that so many people make while learning Spanish. Consider hiring a tutor to work with you so you can learn Spanish quickly and easily. A tutor can correct your diction and you will sound funny at the beginning. Patience and practice will allow you to learn to pronounce the words clearly. Some parents that speak Spanish do not communicate it in front of their children, hoping to force them to become more fluent in English. Studies have been conducted that have revealed that many times one would rather mow the lawn or clean the house than take the time to learn Spanish.

Syllabification: a key to giving your Spanish a more natural rhythm is to understand a process called diphthongisation: that is, making two vowels share a single syllable. Whenever you see a ‘i’ or ‘u’ vowel next to another vowel in Spanish, you need to think about diphthongisation.

Variation: Especially in some parts of Spain, there is some variation to (2): there’s a greater tendency towards separate syllables at the beginnings of words (e.g. ‘bi..lo.go’, though ‘bi.lo.go’ is also possible), and where one word with definitely separate syllables has an influence on another by analogy. Thus, the word ‘v.a’ (”road”, “route”, “way”), always pronounced as two syllables, tends to influence speakers’ pronunciation of ‘vi.a.ble’ (”viable”); ‘r.e’ (”he/she laughs”) tends to influence ‘ri.en.do’ (”laughing”), whereas on the other hand speakers would generally pronounce ’sien.do’ (”being”) as two syllables.

One last key to learning to pronounce Spanish correctly is patience. Hopefully you are positive and excited about learning or why are you doing it? Search the Internet for materials that you can help to supplement your reference guide. Free materials are available if you just look around. CDs, DVDs, e-books, and online videos can all augment your hand reference guide that you have created. Practice, practice, and more practice will help you to learn to pronounce Spanish correctly. Master the pronunciations and you will not only speak fluently but you can now help others to do the same!

I highly recommend that if you want to learn Spanish (or any other language for that matter), that you use Spanish Audio pronunciation. This is by far the best way to listen, interact, and speak the language. Not only that, but it will be much easier for you to memorize words, verbs, and phrases in the language.

Latest Research Shows Online Degrees Are Now Preferred By More Employers

Monday, July 13th, 2009
by John Maxted

One of the main doubts that individuals hold relating to online learning is how employers are going to react to it. Will they believe that it’s lower quality than a traditional degree, or will they accept it as identical or perhaps even think it is better?

During the last ten years or so and particularly the last couple of years, employers have moved their established position on online degrees and now take a far more positive opinion than they have in years gone by.

It was not long ago when employers viewed online bachelors degrees as being inferior. One of the reasons for this was because it was a new concept. Another reason was that mainstream universities had not yet begun adopting their own online bachelor degree programs. On the other hand, as time has passed, more established universities have begun providing education programs online and for that reason more corporations and employers are starting to accept these online degrees as credible and equal. This is helping to change what employers think of online educations.

Consequently online bachelor degrees no longer have the terrible reputation they formerly had. Sure, there may still be a skeptic here or there, as there is with anything else. It’s for this reason its so important to take the time to highlight the quality of your program and education in your resume. Be sure to include the full name of the degree, the name of the university, and some of the courses and major assignments you did while completing your diploma.

You should also continue explaining your personal situation whilst in an interview. You can talk about how testing it was to undertake the course in an online environment, how testing the courses were, why you wanted to pursue an online program and keep expanding on that.

It’s also particularly important that you sign up with a one hundred percent accredited program that will provide you with a recognized degree. With the huge number of well respected universities offering online bachelors degree programs at the moment, this should not be problematic.

Certain employers even see online bachelor degrees as holding further value than their conventional counterparts. One reason for this is the use of, familiarization and mastery of emerging technologies that are crucial to businesses. Corporations are becoming more reliant on things such as video conferencing and webinars, and therefore an online student’s knowledge in these areas could prove to be quite valuable. Being able to demonstrate how much direct experience you have with recent technologies such as these can give you an edge over other applicants.

Online degrees demand a large amount of self reliant drive, commitment and all around effort. As time goes on, more and more employers are acknowledging this and valuing it as a strength. The view is that a student that can effectively guide themselves through an online program at the same time as managing all of the other tasks and responsibilities in their life such as work, children or both, will to handle virtually any job or responsibility at the workplace. It’s a further area that an online student really has an advantage over the student who had an easier route.

These days, online bachelor degrees are no longer thought of as less significant or substandard. In actual fact, employers are beginning to accept them as equal and at times superior programs. This movement increases everyday as more and more employers themselves have pursued an online degree to progress their own careers. Be ready to explain your online degree and the online education process so you can display the skills you learned and utilized while you were learning.

Online Bass Guitar Lessons: Private Lessons At Home

Friday, July 10th, 2009
by Simeon Blackstock

Whether you have a musical bone in your body or not, being your own teacher on how to play the bass guitar is not impossible since a lot of musicians are self-trained. It is a challenge that requires patience and determination. To help out, here are the reminders before learning to produce music with this stringed instrument.

Getting a guitar strap can help your hands focus on playing instead of carrying the instrument. It is advisable to keep your fingernails trimmed so that they do not interfere with the sound. Blisters signify the first signs of learning. They hurt a lot, but eventually you will get used to them and eventually calluses will develop to protect you from the sting.

If your strings ever break mysteriously at the bridge, check your saddles. If there are any string “bite” marks, snags or burrs on the saddles, it means that they are wearing down your strings and the constant vibration of the strings makes the burrs act like little saws on the windings of the string. Eventually the core gives in - and POW, there goes a string - and possibly an eyeball.

With your thumb in position as described under the Hand Positioning section strike the low E string with the middle knuckle of your thumb and hit it pretty hard to get that classic “thump’ sound and then immediately release.

Advanced players must have some command of scale, chord and arpeggio patterns, to be advanced, yet often they get real fast and efficient with enough patterns to impress others and get by, but they realize how extremely limited they still are, and how they are not really as advanced as they would like to be because of their insufficient scope and grasp of a complete mastery of the fretboard with the current patterns that they already know, as well as the theoretical aspect behind the patterns and their use.

It combines the plucking of the bottom notes with the percussive hits that the palm makes when it slaps the strings against the fingerboard. Slap bass is a very percussive style. It’s invention (on electric bass) has been credited to Larry Graham, of funk bands Sly& the Family Stone and Graham Central Station, allegedly improvising on an occasion when their band was left without a drummer! Slap bass is a must for the musicians who use spectacular and popular funk slap techniques which demands specific snappy attacks.

Unfortunately, it turns out to be harder than it looks. Here’s why: The muscles that move your hands and fingers across the neck and strings are rarely used for other tasks. The fine motor skills needed to play a stringed instrument require that the small muscles of the hands be strengthened. So when you take up the bass, you’re like a baby learning to walk: Not only do you have no idea of what you’re doing, you don’t even have the muscles to do it.

Feel the beat, playing the bass guitar differs primarily from playing a regular guitar because it entails an emphasis on the beat of the music. One can compare the bass guitar into a drum or percussion set that is made into a guitar. Beats are very important in playing bass guitar because this type of guitar gives depth and timing to any song.

The Pros And Cons Of The Free Reverse Phone Search Directories

Monday, July 6th, 2009
by Marc Marseille

Searching and finding someone has gotten a lot easier with the help of the reverse telephone directories on the net. They work by inserting someone’s telephone number into a the system and getting all kinds of background information.

When you initially decide to do a reverse telephone search you will notice that there are a lot of free reverse phone search engines on the net as well as paid search directories. Dont get too excited, because there is big difference between the two forms of reverse telephone lookup directories.

The truth is that there is really no such thing as a free reverse phone directory. The purpose of advertising the free services is a tease to get you to the landing page of the paid reverse phone directories.

Once you’ve visited the free reverse phone lookup directory, you will then be redirected to a page that has a diluted version of the information you are looking for. This usually consist of several phone numbers and previous address information that is usually not accurate.

After running around in circles only to find that the information is incorrect, you will then be directed to a paid reverse look-up directory for a more precise result.

In the paid reverse phone look-up database you will then finally find the information that you’ve been searching for all along. You will be exposed to data such as name, address, criminal backgrounds and much more.

Another benefit of using a paid telephone directory is the broad access you will get nationwide. For a one time fee you can enjoy unlimited inquiries all across the U.S.. The best part is, all of this can be done from the comforts of your home.

When attempting to locate someone, your search can lead you in many directions. It doesn’t matter which road you decide to take, wasting time is never an option. You can save time and refine your search by going directly to the source.

Different schools curriculum may include the foundations of massage, aside from that technical skills are also applied which encourages health and wellness. If you will enroll to one of the Massage Therapy School you will have actual hands on lessons with clients. This is under a supervision of an instructor. This is known as an effective way of the development of massage therapy skills. For example: Think of this, while in your first day of school and in a very cool place somewhere in Southern or Northern California. “This is Ms, Wright, your massage instructor. Since everyone here knows that the best education is one that is applied, please write down these instructions. Take it home and follow them!” Students wonder.

Students in the school will experience actual training with clients, these are supervised by instructors. This will definitely develop effective skills before doing it on your own. You can just imagine in your first day of class, while in a bright and cozy place in Northern or Southern California. “Hello class! I’m Ms. Wright, I am your massage instructor. Curriculums for California Massage Therapy Schools are reviewed and evaluated by accrediting organizations before accreditation can be granted to any program or any school of massage therapy. You should explore the accredited California Massage Therapy Schools to be assured of quality education and certification. If not exploring already, begin now. Your degree or diploma from an accredited school will be more valued when seeking employment; certification from a non-accredited school does not garner the level of respect that certification from accredited school will receive.

RMT /Registered Massage Therapist - this is known in the provinces in Canada where the therapist are registered.

In California, all licensing of massage therapist is done either by done by the city or the country because the state currently does not have state certification. Majority if the cities or countries in California require graduates from an accredited program in massage therapy.

Drumming Lessons DVD: Gain Musical Knowledge

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009
by Kyle Ayanbadejo

But it was fun! A sales rep then told me I should enter their “fastest drummer” contest. When I asked him when it was, he said, “THE NEXT NIGHT”! After trying to bow out, I eventually said “okay”. Since I’ve always disliked “musical competitions” I don’t know why I agreed? So, I decided I wouldn’t tell anyone (including my wife) about it - talk about being insecure!

The “next day” came, and soon it was my turn to see how fast I could play. I did my best and was completely shocked when I ended up winning with a “score” of 905 singles in 60-seconds (with absolutely no practice, and no idea “how or what” I was doing). Nevertheless, winning put me in the northeast regional finals elimination round - 3 weeks later at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Beginners, Intermediates, advanced, expert and professional players all use drumsticks. Most professional drummers are particular about the weight, shape, balance, size, grain and density of the sticks. Thick, heavy sticks are used to play street drums in marching bands and drum corps. They can produce a high quality sound.

Electronic drum sticks have built-in speakers and pre-recorded tunes. When they hit any surface, they create a unique, crashing sounds. A cool red LED (Light Emitting Diode) is placed at the tip of each drumstick. Using these drum sticks, you can create fine music without a full set of drums. Electronic drumsticks are very popular among kids who love the sounds they produce.

The first step in developing a solo, an important ingredient that would need to be addressed, is the proper execution of rudiments. Are your single strokes, doubles, paradiddles, rolls, flams, and so on, played well? You will want to execute these smoothly and with precision. It will present the difference of being a beginner or professional drummer.

Take some lessons. Despite your level of experience, lessons always seem to inspire us. You will find new approaches, viewpoints, and techniques that you may have never encountered otherwise. Even the greats will often go back and study with a teacher after a long successful career. They are maintaining goals in their life and assuring continual motivation, excitement, and competitiveness

Learn how tune your drums for the optimum sound and the variables that affect that sound. Know the “name” players in the industry and their contributions to the drum world.

Drum Instruction DVD: Techniques, Tips And Chops in Just One Source

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009
by Chris Bouman

We do not have roll over minutes in our house. It is good to skip days sometime to let you family know that you are thinking about them. As any drummer knows, it is easy to get lost in time when practicing, especially when playing to music. So when your wife comes in and points to her watch, you smile and say, “Yes Dear.”

Your physical body can always do what you mind can conceive. Before you know it you will be producing you own style that others desire of you. It all starts in the mind.

A typical drumstick has a tip, shoulder, shaft and butt. The tip, also referred to as bead, is the top-most part that strikes the drum. Traditionally, the tip is made of the same hard wood as the rest of the stick.

Vinnie Colauita once said, “Just play in 7 for like an hour”. This is especially insightful as we can often get caught up in studying things too closely and miss the point. Sheer repetition will help lead to more comfort in odd times.

Sometimes the drum heads may even puncture when the hit is hard. If all this still does not provide you with good reasons to go for a new one at regular intervals, then you should realize that once it becomes weak it is difficult for you to play the roll or the fast chops. As a drummer you should change your drum heads after every six months.

However, six months is not an ideal time. If you have been playing the drum too often lately, consider changing it even though you may have changed it four months back. Signs that should tell you it is now the time for you to change are indents and cracks.

Improvement: Each practice session should create a challenge for the musician to accomplish something never previously done. This could be a new rudiment, piece of music, or exercise, it could also be a new tempo for an old exercise, etc. And the tempo does not necessarily have to be faster - just different

Communicate to you family the importance of regular practice. If you skip too may days in a row you can tell and it takes a couple of days or more to regain what you lost. I quit playing for many years and when I started back, it took a year to feel completely at home on the throne. I still had the moves in my head but getting the sticks on the skins was a completely different endeavor.

Don’t Go To College!

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009
by Peter Brown

Lots of people would appreciate an opportunity to improve their qualifications, but find it difficult to attend a course due to work arrangements, family committments, physical location or various other reasons. For many of them, the ideal solution may be to undertake a course via Distance Learning.

Modern Distance Learning courses are normally delivered via the Internet, making use of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) such as Moodle or Blackboard which allows students to communicate with their tutors and their classmates, download learning material, sit online exams and upload completed coursework. But there’s still a place for paper-based courses, often described as correspondence courses. Many colleges continue to make this kind of course available, as they are particularly useful to students who have limited Internet access.

Distance learning puts the learner in charge of as many factors as possible. Learners can choose where and when they will study and the rate at which they will learn, what topics they want to study next and when they want to be assessed, if they want to be assessed, if at all. Distance Learning is a specialised form of Open Learning. There is little or no need for the learner to visit the institution offering the course, which may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away.

Some people find that a course which gives them complete control of all the options is too much to cope with: there’s always something interesting on TV, a dog needing walked, a garden needing dug or some other pressing task. Most Distance Learning systems offer support to students by assigning them to a tutor who can advise them on various aspects of the course and how best to tackle it. But many decisions, especially the time and place of study, are still left up to the learner.

It can be useful to reflect upon your reasons for considering a distance learning course. Perhaps your job or your family commitments prevent you from attending a normal college course, during the day or in the evenings. Or it may be that there is no suitable course available in your area. Whatever your reasons for considering a Distance Learning course, you should find it an interesting and rewarding experience.

Distance Learning has a number of advantages over conventional courses. You can choose where and when to study: on the train going to work, the half hour between finishing the housework and the kids getting in from school, while your partner is watching a dreadful Australian soap opera or another boring football match - you’ll be surprised how many occasions crop up when it’s possible to do a bit of studying without curtailing your social life.

Distance Learning courses are an ideal method of meeting the needs of overseas students. They provide an opportunity to obtain a UK qualification by studying in their own country, avoiding the costs of travel to the UK and the expense of living there. An overseas student can undertake an HND in their own country, then come to the UK for the final year of a degree programme. Successful completion of the HND demonstrates their commitment to study and enhances their credibility as a student - both of these factors can be highly significant when it comes to obtaining a visa.

With Distance Learning programmes you can choose how to learn: you can try out different methods and practice to your heart’s content in total privacy - there’s no one to see your mistakes. (You can always go and find someone to tell about your successes!) You can also choose from a wide range of materials: most open learning texts are written by experts in the field, often with many years of teaching experience. They are written in such a fashion that they can be used on their own, without immediate assistance at hand, and they have plenty of activities to keep you interested and stop you from becoming bored.
